A dedicated setup is a managed server or cluster of servers which is accessible to you only. It comes with an initial setup fee and/or a longer commitment, but proves more cost effective for larger requirements in request volume and speed.

While open source tools like Readability and Newspaper3k achieve decent performance overall, they don't always perform well for non-latin languages. They also don't execute JavaScript or do proxy rotation. Ujeebu effortlessly does this while also performing html cleanup, multiple character encoding support, scaling, pagination, picture extraction, etc. You might be OK with using open source tools in your development environment, but that won't always cut it in Production without considerable effort
The parsing time of a URL depends on several factors, namely the load on the server hosting the article at the time of extraction, the length of the article, and whether JavaScript execution is needed. We do however provide several customization parameters in the API to let you fine-tune the parsing process to your performance/quality requirements. We also cache results on our end for quicker subsequent requests.
requests per second refers to the maximum number of requests that the API can receive in any given second, while concurrent requests refers to the number of requests that are being worked on at any given time. e.g.: if you send 5 requests/sec and each request takes an average of 5 seconds to process, then the API will be processing about 25 requests at any given moment. Please note that we only limit the number of requests/sec and don't restrict the number of processes that are running simultaneously, so even when they exceed the plan’s approximate concurrent requests we still let your requests finish or time out.
