The challenge

Why traditional market research falls short.

Expensive, slow and stale by the time the deck lands. The web has the answers now, if you can pull them out.

Missed trend signals

Trends form in niche forums and discussions weeks before they hit your quarterly tracker. Without automation, you’re always late.

Scattered feedback

Reviews, tickets, forums and social posts add up to thousands of customer voices nobody has time to read. Pain points hide in the volume.

Competitor blindness

Manual competitor tracking misses feature launches, pricing tweaks, and positioning shifts until they show up in lost deals.

Sentiment lag

By the time NPS surveys flag a problem, it’s already cost you customers. Reading reviews and forums as they appear catches it earlier.

Use cases

How research teams use it.

  • Topic and sentiment grouping with the model you choose
  • Common complaints found before they drive returns

How it works

Three steps to your own research pipeline.

1

Choose your sources

List the platforms, competitors, products and topics to cover. Write extract_rules for the review, rating and spec fields you need, or use the Extract API for articles.

2

Collect on your schedule

Your own scheduler calls the API: daily for reviews, weekly for forum scans and competitor sites. The API handles proxies, JavaScript rendering and dynamic content.

3

Analyse and report

Store the JSON in your warehouse or BI tool. Run sentiment, topic and trend analysis with your own models, and build the dashboards and alerts your team needs.

Try it

Pull a product review feed.

Drop in any review-bearing URL and see structured review data (titles, ratings and review text) come back, ready for your analysis pipeline.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Is web scraping for market research legal?
Collecting public reviews and specs for competitive research is common practice. In hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn, US courts found that scraping publicly accessible data is not unauthorized access under the CFAA, but terms of service, copyright and privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA still apply. Review each site’s terms. You are responsible for how you collect and use data; check with your own counsel.
How accurate is sentiment analysis?
Ujeebu does not score sentiment. It extracts review text and ratings as structured data that you can pass to the sentiment model or LLM of your choice.
How fresh is the data?
Data is fetched live on every API call, so freshness depends on how often you call it. Many teams run review sources daily and competitor sites weekly from their own scheduler.
Can you handle international markets?
Yes. Extraction works on pages in any language, including multi-byte and right-to-left scripts, and you can choose the proxy country to see regional sites such as Amazon.de or Amazon.co.jp.
How do you detect fake reviews?
Ujeebu does not score reviews. It extracts the signals you need, such as reviewer name, date, rating, verified-purchase flag and text, so you can apply your own fake-review checks.
What export formats?
The API returns JSON (the Scrape API can also return raw HTML, screenshots and PDFs). Load it into your warehouse, BI tool or storage with your own pipeline.
