How much does a web scraping API cost?
Credits make scraping API prices hard to compare. We converted eleven vendors' published plans into the price of 1,000 successful requests of each kind.
A web scraping API typically costs $16 to $49 a month at entry level and $99 to $300 a month for a few hundred thousand pages, with enterprise plans from about $500. Per 1,000 successful requests at mid-tier plans, credit-based APIs charge about $0.10 to $0.15 for a plain page, $0.50 to $1.50 for a JavaScript-rendered page and $1.50 to $3.75 for a page behind strong anti-bot protection (up to $16.08 on Zyte's hardest tier), while Bright Data, Oxylabs and Firecrawl charge $0.99 to $1.50 whatever the page. The credit multipliers for rendering and premium proxies matter more than the headline plan price.
Disclosure: Ujeebu publishes this guide and sells a scraping API. The numbers come from each vendor's pricing page, linked below.

What two common workloads cost per month
The smallest published plan that covers each workload, monthly billing. Your real bill depends on how many of your pages need rendering or premium proxies.
| API | 100,000 rendered pages a month | 10,000 Google searches a month |
|---|---|---|
| Ujeebu | $119 (Growth), or about $75 on Starter with overage at $0.13 per 1,000 credits | $49 (Starter; 50,000 of its 300,000 credits) |
| Firecrawl | $99 (Standard, 100,000 credits) | $99 (Standard; 20,000 credits at 2 per search) |
| ScrapingBee | $99 (Startup, 1,000,000 credits) | See docs |
| Scrapfly | $100 (Pro, 1,000,000 credits) | Not offered |
| ZenRows | $166 (Growth; Launch has 250,000 credits) | See docs |
| ScraperAPI | $149 (Startup, 1,000,000 credits) | $149 (Startup; 250,000 credits needed) |
| Bright Data | $150 (pay as you go) | $15 (pay as you go) |
| Zyte API | $101 to $1,608 by site tier (pay as you go) | See pricing |
| SerpApi | Not offered | $150 (Production, 15,000 searches) |
| Serper | Not offered | $10 of a $50 pack (credits last 6 months) |
For 100,000 plain pages that need no browser, the credit-based APIs fall to about $49 to $58 a month (Ujeebu Starter covers 300,000) while Firecrawl and Bright Data charge the same per page as for rendered ones.
Why credits mislead, and how to estimate your bill
Most scraping APIs sell credits, and one request can cost 1 credit or 75. Three multipliers decide your real price:
- JavaScript rendering: running a headless browser usually costs 5 to 10 credits instead of 1. ScrapingBee renders by default; Ujeebu and ScraperAPI render only when you ask.
- Proxy level: premium or residential proxies cost 10 to 30 credits, stealth or ultra premium modes up to 75.
- Target-specific pricing: some vendors charge more for particular sites, such as 25 credits for a Google request on ScraperAPI, or price by a difficulty tier, as Zyte does.
To estimate: take 200 of your real URLs, run them through a free trial, and note the share that needed rendering and premium proxies. Multiply your monthly page count by that mix and by each vendor's credits per request, then pick the plan that covers it. Check whether failed requests are free (Ujeebu, ZenRows, Bright Data and Zyte all bill successful requests only) and whether unused credits roll over.
Build or buy? Running your own scrapers with rented proxies can be cheaper per page at very high volume, but you take on browser fleets, proxy rotation, CAPTCHA handling and the engineering time to keep them working. Most teams below a few million pages a month spend less with an API.
