How we got this data

We collected these answers with Ujeebu's LLM APIs, which return what ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews actually tell people, including the brands they name and the sources they cite, as structured JSON. The same APIs are available to you: ask any question and get the answer and its citations back in seconds.

Methodology and known limits

What we asked. Each industry has its own set of 200 buyer questions in US English (recommendations, problems, comparisons and prices), frozen for the quarter. Each question is asked to ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews three times a week, from the US, through Ujeebu's APIs.

What we counted. A brand is mentioned when the answer names it, matched against the industry's list of brands and their aliases. The share of answers is the answers that name the brand divided by every answer collected that week on the three engines, as on the AI Citation Index pages. Ranks are by that share. Each week is checked before it is published (coverage per engine and a spot check of the brand matches).

This chart. One bar per industry published this week: its leading brand and that brand's share of the industry's answers. The table adds the second brand, the lead in percentage points and the #1 brand on each engine. Each industry's full ranking is on its AI Citation Index page.

Known limits

  • One week of answers (Oct 5 to 9, 2026). AI answers change from week to week; this is a snapshot.
  • Questions are in US English and asked from the US. Industries have different question sets, so shares compare leaders, not industries.
  • A mention is not a recommendation: an answer that names a brand to warn against it still counts. We do not score tone.
  • Only brands on each industry's list are counted.

The data comes from AI engine answers to our own questions. This page publishes aggregated counts only: no answer text and no personal data. Spotted an error? Tell us.
