Zillow API
What the official Zillow route allows, who can use it, and how to get Zillow search results and property pages as JSON today without partner approval.
Not an open one. Zillow data is available only to approved partners (MLSs, brokers, vetted vendors) through Bridge Interactive. The open Zillow API ended in 2021. To get Zillow listings and property pages as JSON without approval, send the page URL with recipe=zillow to the Ujeebu Scrape API: 5 credits a page ($0.50 per 1,000 pages on Pro, $0.82 on Starter), and our checks of Zillow passed 32 of 32 times in the last 7 days.
Disclosure: Ujeebu publishes this page and sells the Scrape API it describes. The official API facts link to Zillow's own pages; our numbers come from our own checks.
Is there an official Zillow API?
Not an open one. Zillow data is available only to approved partners (MLSs, brokers, vetted vendors) through Bridge Interactive. The open Zillow API ended in 2021.
The old open Zillow API (the "Zillow API Network" with ZWSID keys) was retired in 2021. Today Zillow Group sends developers to Bridge Interactive, where MLS listing data, public records and Zestimates are licensed to approved partners such as MLSs, brokers and vetted vendors. There is no self-serve key for reading Zillow search results or home pages.

How to get Zillow data as JSON today
Send a Zillow URL (or search parameters) with recipe=zillow to the Scrape API. The recipe carries the extract rules and the settings we validated on real Zillow pages, so there are no selectors to write and no proxies to pick. Every field, a full sample and the price: Zillow API.
curl -G 'https://api.ujeebu.com/scrape' \
-H 'ApiKey: YOUR_API_KEY' \
-d 'recipe=zillow/search' \
-d 'city=Austin' \
-d 'state=TX'
{
"result": {
"listings": [
{
"url": "https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2011-Peoples-St-B-Austin-TX-78702/145658712_zpid/",
"title": "2011 Peoples St #B, Austin, TX 78702",
"price": "$599,000",
"bedrooms": "3",
"bathrooms": "2",
"area": "1,385"
},
"..."
]
}
}
Trimmed from the recipe's validation sample of November 4, 2026 (Austin, TX search). A property page (recipe=zillow/detail) adds beds, baths, year built, lot size, latitude and longitude, price per sqft and the Zestimate.

Does it work today? What we measured
We fetch real Zillow pages through our own API every day and re-validate the recipe on real pages every week. When Zillow changes its pages and the recipe breaks, the API answers 404 "the recipe has no working version" (free) instead of empty data until it is fixed.
| Measure | Result |
|---|---|
| Checks passed, last 7 days | 32 of 32 (100%) |
| Last validation on real Zillow pages | 2026-11-04, 2026-11-06 |

What to check before you collect Zillow data
- Public pages only. The recipe reads the pages Zillow shows without signing in. It does not log in, pass a login wall or read private messages.
- Zillow's terms of use govern how its site may be used. Read them for your use case, and for anything beyond research or internal analysis, ask your own counsel.
- Personal data. Home pages show the listing agent and brokerage names. Privacy law such as the GDPR in the EU applies to them: keep only the fields you need and delete what you no longer use.
- Your pace. You choose how many pages you fetch. A daily or hourly snapshot of the pages you track is usually enough for prices and listings.
This is a practical checklist, not legal advice.
